Room Details
Did you know that our bungalow names are inspired by oldest tribes in Indonesia.
This one we named Rimba.
The rainforests of Sumatra, Indonesia, are home to the Orang Rimba – the people of the jungle. They are still living by being nomadic for their survival by hunting animals and looking for fruits in the forest. They still consider forest products to be mutual. They are divided into small groups led by a person who is labeled tumenggung. Since Indonesian independence, Orang Rimba is not recognized by the state of Indonesia because they are not religious and have no identity and there is one thing they fear: their culture and way of life will be destroyed forever.
Rimba bungalow has 42 m2, queen size bed for two people with a possibility of an extra bed for one person. The terrace size is 10,8 m2 and includes a lounge area to relax and enjoy perfect sunset time in Selong Belanak lagoon.
Ceramic in the bathroom is handmade and handpainted. Teak wood was the main material for our furniture and pillars (including the floor), and pottery details bring warmth into the ambient. All details are handmade by different village communities from Lombok.
